Switch from Bluebeam in an afternoon.
Bring your marked-up PDFs, your tool chests, and your muscle memory. A guided 5-step wizard walks you through it — most estimators are productive the same day.
Zero switching cost, by design
Bring your marked-up PDFs
Open a Revu-marked PDF and PlanMarkup imports the annotations — with a mapping report that shows exactly what came across and what didn't. No silent losses. Measurements are re-derived from your calibration, so quantities stay trustworthy.
Bring your tool chest
Years of custom tools aren't stranded. Import and export .btx tool chests with a full round-trip, so the symbols and assemblies you built in Revu keep working here — and you can go back any time.
Bring your muscle memory
A Revu keyboard-shortcut preset ships in the app, so the keys your hands already know keep working on day one. You can also import a Revu markups-list CSV — rows become linked bill-of-quantities lines.
Bring your team
Cloud workspaces and live collaboration rooms replace Studio Sessions — with open protocols and no kill-switch on older versions. Your collaboration can't be turned off by a vendor's calendar.
Studio ends December 31, 2026
Revu 20 loses Studio Sessions, Projects, and API access at the end of 2026. Your perpetual license will still open files — but collaboration dies, and support for self-service seat releases already ended. That's a forced migration funnel into subscriptions. Migrate on your terms instead: free, this afternoon, with everything above coming along.
Open a marked-up PDF
Drag in a real Revu file. Review the import mapping report.
Bring your tool chest
Import your .btx — custom tools land in the chest, ready to stamp.
Keep your shortcuts
Enable the Revu preset. Your hands won't know anything changed.
Calibrate and measure
Run one takeoff end-to-end: calibrate, measure, watch the BoQ price itself.
Send your first quote
Export the quote PDF. That's the whole migration — you're an estimator again.
Asked by people mid-migration
Will my Bluebeam markups survive the move?
Yes. Open a Revu-marked PDF and PlanMarkup imports the annotations with a mapping report showing exactly what came across and what didn't — no silent losses. Measurements are re-derived from your calibration so quantities stay trustworthy. One honest limit: fully flattened markups leave no annotation trace in the PDF, so they can't be reliably counted — we won't invent a count.
What happens when Bluebeam Studio shuts down?
Revu 20 loses Studio Sessions, Projects, and API access on December 31, 2026. Your perpetual license still opens files, but collaboration dies. PlanMarkup's cloud workspaces and live rooms have no kill-switch on older versions — your collaboration can't be turned off by a vendor decision.
Do I have to relearn keyboard shortcuts?
No. A Revu shortcut preset ships in the app, so the keys your hands already know keep working from day one.
Can I go back to Bluebeam if I change my mind?
Yes — nothing is locked in, in either direction. PlanMarkup exports marked-up PDFs in editable standard-annotation mode and flattened vector mode, plus .btx tool chests and Excel/CSV for your quantities.
