Take off your first plan in 5 minutes.
No course, no manual, no 40-minute onboarding video. Five steps, one plan set, one priced quote.
Open your plan
Open the free browser app and drop in a PDF plan set. No account, no upload — the file stays on your device. Multi-sheet sets welcome.
Calibrate the scale
Pick Calibrate, click two points on a known dimension (or drag a line), and type the real-world distance. One calibration per sheet — everything you measure after that is in real feet and inches.
Measure
Trace with the takeoff tools: length, area, count, volume, slope, perimeter, diameter, radius. Snap-to-geometry keeps your lines on the drawing — press N to toggle snapping. For repeated symbols, auto-count finds every match from one example.
Price it
Every measurement lands in the bill of quantities as a priced line. Set your rates, add waste percentages, or load a trade starter pack (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, renovation) for one-tap line items. Group by trade division or by room. For repeatable scopes, apply an assembly — "basement wall per LF" explodes into framing, insulation, drywall, and paint automatically.
Export the quote
Hit Export quote PDF — pick the contractor template or the homeowner-friendly one with allowances, terms, and signature lines — and send it. Plan set to priced quote, one sitting, no Excel round-trip.

Import a tool chest (.btx)
Open the tool chest panel, choose Import, and select your .btx file. Your custom tools land in the chest with their symbols intact, ready to stamp. Export works the same way — the round-trip is lossless, so you can always go back.
Import a marked-up PDF
Open any Revu-marked PDF directly. PlanMarkup imports the annotations and shows a mapping report: what came across, what was skipped, and why. Measurements are re-derived from your calibration.
Keyboard shortcuts
A Revu shortcut preset is built in — these are the defaults, and every one is remappable.
Quick answers
What file types can I open?
PDF plan sets (any size — large files get a heads-up, not a block), plus Revu-marked PDFs, .btx tool chests, and Revu markups-list CSVs. Export: quote PDFs, marked-up PDFs (editable or flattened), .btx, Excel, and CSV.
Do I need an account?
No. The free browser app works with no account — open, measure, save locally, export. Accounts only matter if you want cloud workspaces, collaboration, or AI auto-count.
Where do my files go?
Nowhere, unless you say so. Local work stays in your browser's storage on your device. Cloud workspaces sync to your account when you choose to save there.
